This panting is framed in a birch wood, gallery profile, floater frame,  a perfect compliment to the image. The scene in the image is looking across one of the Finger Lakes to the hills opposite. The sunrises and sets illuminate the hills as the sit between the beautiful blue of the long deep lakes.  Native American has it that the gods presses their hand into the earth and created these long thin lakes located in this picturesque part central New York. I've traveled and camped throughout the area, painting as I go!
