Making art is a process of slowing down and seeing - absorbing and translating - filtering and creating something out of nothing. As a painter, I try to provide a visual forum for people to re-member their cellular memories of living within the natural world. When another person views them, absorbs something of them, the art had completed its purpose of moving emotion from one person to another.
Landscapes, both interior and exterior, are my subject matter. The landscapes are drawn mostly from the lush world of upstate New York and the shores of Lake Ontario and the Finger Lakes.
