These 5" x 5" painting are each a meditation. Some are quiet, some loud. I think of them all as tiny messages to live life intentionally, see what is around you, and enjoy.

One of the beautiful facets of encaustic painting is that you can get intense color and varied surfaces. You can go from translucent to highly saturated pigments. It responds to your mark making and ultimately, I find it highly intuitive as a process. I use it to create these abstract landscapes of the world, seen and unseen.  There are so many opportunities to play with new mediums to highlight the nuance and quiet but fierce elements in nature.
